The biggest. The tallest. The largest. Dubai takes it to the full, standing out in a traditionally conservative country with its ultra-modern style. The city’s towering skyscrapers, palm-shaped islands, and golden beaches, along with a lively nightlife, luxurious shopping, and world-class dining, make it a sight to see and discover. With all that, the hotels are no exception. The services a 5-star hotel gives you, make you want to stay there forever, and the food they serve is really second to none.
A name worth mentioning here is Fairmont The Palm, a five-star hotel located at the heart of the Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man-made island shaped like a palm tree. The Fairmont offers views of the Persian Gulf and the Dubai Marina.
With all that being there, the expectations for their food are quite high. And they really know how to exceed expectations. Fairmont has quite a few restaurants which will take you on a culinary journey across different parts of the world.
Starting with India, go for a selection of starters and sundowners at Little Miss India. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor terrace, with the focal point being a “Tribal Art Taxi” that shows the entry to the restaurant – one of the heavily painted trucks common in South Asia. And the food is almost as vivid. You should say goodbye to bland food because everything you will eat here is extraordinary. They also have a variety of vegetarian dishes, such as the paneer tikka starter, bhutiyan dey kebab. And the non-veg dishes and desserts are just extraordinary. Their lamb chop starters are very famous among the crowd.
Off to Brazil! Frevo is located on the beach at Fairmont the Palm, which serves authentic Brazilian cuisine. Popular churrascaria-style meals are served in the restaurant’s upscale dining areas. Guests may opt to be seated indoors or on the patio. Frevo also has a large screen TV that broadcasts football and other international sporting activities. Espeto tableside service, which serves prime cuts of South Brazilian-style skewered meats, is available at the restaurant. Beef bacon-wrapped chicken, black mustard smoked tri-tip, beer chicken wings, and other options are available. Frevo’s menu also includes a selection of appetizers, exotic salads, and signature cachaça cocktails.
For some Southeast Asian food, try BA- Boldly Asian. It is the most spectacular fine dining hideaway, where your adventure starts in this Asian Wonderland as you enter through a hypnotic lantern-lit entranceway, leading you through oriental coastlines with rich flavors and vibrant décor. Every meal is guaranteed to feel like a melting pot of adventure, from the handmade signature Japanese ramen noodles to the Taiwanese hand-rolled pan-fried buns and more. Ba eludes a vibrant, luxurious, and interactive atmosphere, the kind of luxury you might expect from Fairmont The Palm, which houses the restaurant. A focus on regional Asian flavors found across Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan can be found in each dish as diners are taken to the corners of the continent with a rich epicurean feast from North to South.
For some Middle eastern desserts, head on to Al Magheeb Restaurant Al Magheeb (Arabic for “sunset”); from its menu to its entertainment with belly dancers and oud players, the restaurant is inspired by all Arabic and sits in a prime position next to the beach where you can watch the sun setting in the Arabian Gulf while enjoying food, some delectable desserts, drinks, and shisha.
If there is a culinary journey worth its weight in gold, you have just experienced it!
